The Kiltix Tick Collar for Dogs is a highly effective collar designed to control brown dog ticks, bush ticks, and fleas, providing protection for up to 5 months. Additionally, it aids in controlling paralysis ticks for 6 weeks. Manufactured by Bayer, a trusted name in pet care, this collar offers a reliable and convenient solution for keeping your canine companion free from harmful ticks and fleas.

Directions for Use

To ensure proper use and effectiveness, follow these simple steps: First, buckle the Kiltix collar comfortably around your dog's neck, ensuring that you can easily insert 2 to 3 fingers between the collar and the dog's neck. Next, trim any excess length of the collar and dispose of it appropriately. For best results, conduct a daily search of your dog's entire body and promptly remove any ticks found, paying particular attention to the area around the ears.

Cautions

While the Bay-o-Pet Kiltix Tick Collar is an effective tick and flea control solution, certain precautions must be observed. Avoid using this product on puppies less than 12 weeks old or on sick or convalescing dogs. It should not be used in combination with other organophosphate-based products, including rinses, shampoos, sprays, collars, or oral treatments. Organophosphate products are also known as anti-cholinesterase compounds. Prevent your pets from chewing the collar, and seek immediate veterinary advice if the collar is accidentally ingested. Should any signs of skin irritation or other side effects occur, remove the collar immediately.

Not Suitable for Cats

It is essential to note that the Bay-o-Pet Kiltix Tick Collar is specifically designed for dogs and should not be used on cats. Ensure that you keep the collar away from feline companions to avoid any adverse reactions.

Potential Side Effects

While side effects are uncommon, it is crucial to be aware of possible reactions to the active ingredients in the collar, Flumethrin, and Propoxur. Such side effects may arise from accidental ingestion, use with other organophosphate-based products, or unexpected sensitivity. Signs of potential side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, salivation, lethargy, and neurologic signs such as weakness or paralysis. Should your pet display any of these signs or any other abnormal behaviour, remove the collar immediately and seek immediate veterinary attention.

Active Ingredients

The Kiltix Tick Collar contains 22.5g/kg of Flumethrin and 100g/kg of Propoxur, both of which work synergistically to combat ticks and fleas effectively.
