Comfortis Plus - Flea And Worm Treatment For Dogs 

 

Dogs and puppies can quickly kill fleas with Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) Chewable Tablets for Dogs, prevent heartworm disease, treat roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. After 30 minutes, Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) begins killing fleas and prevents infestations for one month. Chewable meat-flavored tablets are readily accepted by dogs, and since the product is an oral medication, swimming or washing are not restricted after treatment. There are 5 convenient sizes of Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) to fit dogs weighing 2.3 to 54 kg. Dogs suffering from flea allergy dermatitis can use Comfortis Plus (Panoramis). This product is known as Trifexis in the US.

Directions of Use

At the recommended dosage, Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) tablets should be taken orally once a month. It is recommended to take Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) with food. A monthly 140 mg tablet is given to dogs between the weights of 2.3 and 4.5 kg. The orange box contains one 270 mg tablet per month for dogs weighing 4.6 to 9 kg. Every month, dogs between 9.1 and 18 kg receive one 560 mg tablet from the green box. The blue box contains one 810 mg tablet per month for dogs weighing 18.1 to 27 kg. The brown box contains one 1620 mg tablet for dogs weighing 27.1 to 54 kg per month.



Caution

Puppies younger than 8 weeks should not be given this product. Keep out of the reach of children. Cats and other animals should not be administered this medication. Food should be consumed with this medication. A veterinarian should be consulted before treating pregnant or lactating dogs with pre-existing epilepsy. There has been no evaluation of the safety of using this product on breeding male dogs. In conjunction with topical tick treatments and collars, Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) may be administered safely to dogs. If your dog is taking high doses of ivermectin or other macrolytic lacyone heartworm medications, do not administer this drug. Before using this product, your dog should be free of heartworms. If there is a possibility that dogs may have a preexisting heartworm infestation, they should be tested for heartworm.



Possible Side Effects

Comfortis Plus (Panoramis) is considered to have mild side effects in dogs. In dogs, vomiting, pruritis (itchy skin), reduced appetite, lethargy, and diarrhea are the most common side effects. Usually, reactions are short-lived and diminish with repeated doses. It is common for puppies under the age of 14 weeks to vomit more frequently.
