The Seresto® collar is odorless and patented, killing and repelling fleas, ticks, and lice, and helping to treat and control sarcoptic mange on dogs for eight continuous months. With Seresto®, your clients get the convenience of a collar with the performance of a monthly flea and tick preventive.

It is possible for dogs who have never worn collars before to scratch in the first few days after they are fitted. It is important for clients to ensure that the collar is not too tightly fitted. Hair loss and mild skin reactions may occur at the application site due to the mechanical irritation caused by the collar. These usually resolve within one or two weeks without the need to remove the collar.

The collar should be kept in the bag and in the outer packaging until it is used. Children should not be allowed to play with this product. This product contains small parts that pose a choking hazard. Only for external use on dogs. Seresto® for Dogs should not be used on other animals.

Does Seresto® for dogs contain any active ingredients?

Seresto® contains imidacloprid (10%) and flumethrin (4.5%) as active ingredients. Seresto® provides an 8-month continuous slow release of the active ingredients thanks to the Bayer Polymer Matrix.

 

Dosage and frequency guidelines for Seresto® for dogs?

With Seresto®, you can protect your dog from fleas and ticks for eight continuous months, even if he is 7 weeks or older. Small dogs under 18 lbs can use Seresto® for small dogs. Dogs over 18 pounds should use Seresto® for large dogs (8 kg). (8 kg).

 

The Seresto® formula is water-resistant and remains effective after shampooing, swimming, or exposure to rain or sunlight. The effectiveness of the product lasts for eight months under normal conditions. Dogs should not be bathed more than once a month in order to maintain an eight-month duration. Flea control duration is reduced to five months for dogs who swim once a month or more, while tick control duration is reduced to seven months for dogs who swim more frequently.

How quickly does Seresto® for dogs begin working?

Within 48 hours of application, Seresto® begins preventing ticks and repels and/or kills new ticks within six hours.
