The best way to keep your dog looking 100% is to groom them regularly, no matter what type of coat they have. During grooming, you can also check your dog's skin thoroughly for abnormalities or problems. Your bond with your dog can also be strengthened by bathing and brushing him. Taking your pup to the groomer regularly can become a costly expense over time, but there are things you can do at home to keep them looking and smelling good in between grooming appointments.
Every dog owner should own a quality brush or comb, regardless of the length or type of fur their dog has. GripSoft brushes are available in a wide variety of sizes and styles from Dr Carl at a competitive price. Dead hair or undercoat can be removed from dogs with an undercoat or long fur with a few brushes. Using a fine comb, you can then remove all knots from the dog. In order to encourage your dog to see grooming as a positive activity, reward him or her whenever he or she allows you to brush them with treats or praise. If you brush your dog without his consent, you will only reinforce his fears and could result in negative behaviours.
Dr Carl only approves products that our veterinarians and animal health professionals would use on their own pets. During business hours, our highly trained customer service staff and veterinarians are available to assist you. Contact them by email at [email protected] or by phone at 1800 DR CARL (1800 372775).
