What causes dogs to get fleas?
There are several ways in which fleas can get into your home and onto your dog:
How do Advantage and oral flea products differ?
Dogs can receive Advantage flea treatment by applying a spot-on treatment to their skin. The product kills fleas on contact without the need to bite.1 Oral flea products are active in the bloodstream, and they work by attaching to and feeding on the flea.
When should I use Advantage?
In order to maintain your dog's health, you should apply Advantage once a month all year round.
Advantage lasts for how long?
The duration of a single application is one month.
How soon will my puppy be able to use Advantage?
Advantage can be used on your puppy from birth. Treatment of the mother before weaning protects the litter while in contact, so unweaned puppies are rarely treated. Treat the mother until weaning and the individual puppies afterward.
Is it safe to bathe my dog after applying Advantage?
You should always use soap-free shampoo when bathing your dog between applications. After washing your dog, wait until they are completely dry before applying Advantage. Bathe your dog no more than twice a month for optimal skin health.
